"Father Roland, you know I've always been a modest, polite man." The Flash spoke faster and faster. "But now I have to ask: what the fuck are you doing here?!"
"Calm down, calm down—" Roland said with a chuckle.
"How am I supposed to calm down?!" The Flash snapped. "I ran to the end of time, and then I saw this thing—"
"What kind of way is that to talk? What do you mean, 'this thing'?" Roland curled his lip.
"What else am I supposed to call you? Never mind anything else, just the way you look is already creepy enough." The Flash stared at Roland's floating head.
"God has no fixed form. The shape I take now is merely what you wish to see," Roland said.
"I don't particularly wish to see you in a place like this." The Flash shook his head. "If you looked the way I wanted, you'd be invisible."
"What a sharp tongue."
"Hmph—do you think I don't know who's behind everything that's happened lately?"
"I failed to raise my daughter properly—"
"Do you think I'd believe that?"
"It's the truth. Why won't you believe me?" Roland said helplessly. "Besides, all of this was done to save you."
"That part I believe. But aside from saving me, you also wanted to mess with me, didn't you?"
"Of course not—" Roland said guiltily, then changed the subject. "I've been waiting for you beyond time so I could send you back. Now, goodbye."
With that, Roland blew a breath at The Flash. The scene before him shifted, and he reappeared in the restaurant.
"Barry? Barry?" Iris West called to him. "What are you thinking about?"
"Well—there's something I want to ask you." The Flash took out the ring Batman had given him.
"Oh my God. If this
