"Listen to yourself. What kind of talk is that?" Roland glared at him. "How could you do this to me?"
Nightwing looked away and started whistling.
"It's a holiday. Let it go, let it go—" Jason urged. "Let's go have lunch instead."
"Are we eating out today?" Deadshot asked Roland. "I know a restaurant where couples get half off today."
"—Then take your wife and kids. Why invite me?"
"The portions are huge. We won't finish everything unless we bring more people," Deadshot said. "I've invited Hollihan, Victor,
Richard, and Cassie's whole family."
"What about Ben?" Roland suddenly remembered Bronze Tiger.
"Ben went to Africa."
"Back home to visit family for the holiday?" Roland paused.
"No, he went back with Mary."
"Oh, visiting his wife's family." Roland nodded. "Things are moving that fast for him?"
"Probably not." Deadshot shook his head. "Ben isn't very good at romance."
"The way you say that—are you any good at it?"
Deadshot lifted his chin, gesturing for Roland to look at his children. "Doesn't this speak for itself?"
"Tch, as if you're the only one who has kids." Roland curled his lip. "So? She went home, and Ben just tagged along?"
"No, they went to deal with poachers," Deadshot explained. "Apparently, a particularly vicious band of poachers has appeared in Zambezi. Besides rare animals, they've killed some of the local indigenous people, including Mary's friends."
"I see." Roland thought for a moment. "Mary is one of our Grand Church people, too. Those poachers actually dared to attack her friends. They clearly have no respect for us! I'll have to go over there."
"Sure. Bring them back while you're at it, so we can celebrate together tonight," Deadshot said. "Otherwise, who knows when those two will get back."
"All right." Roland opened a Portal. "Coming?"
