"The entire surface was constructed from green light?" Roland and Green Lantern fell silent. They had expected as much, but seeing it for themselves still put them under immense pressure.
Then a green light rose from the dim yellow ground, and this world's Hal Jordan appeared before them.
"So it really is you." Roland's smile was strained.
"I've fought myself before," Green Lantern said. "But do we have to fight?"
This world's Hal Jordan did not answer. He simply watched them, his eyes weary with age, like an old man nearing the end of his life.
"He doesn't seem... very talkative," Roland muttered.
"Then we'll have to fight," Green Lantern said. "He still has Barry."
"Oh, right. That too." Roland nodded.
"Hand Barry over." Green Lantern stared at the face identical to his own. "I don't know what you've been through, but Barry—"
Boom! The air split. Roland's Observation Haki and psionic senses screamed warnings. Every muscle in his body tensed, and Armament Haki surged instinctively into his arms. "Magnetic Field Rotation, 990,000 horsepower! Dharma Sutra: Tai Chi Hell Fist!"
He was still too slow. There had been no opening move, no warning. Hal Jordan's figure blurred for an instant in his vision, and green light struck his body.
Roland flew backward helplessly, slammed into the Moon, and sank deep into the Lunar Core.
He grunted, the metallic taste of blood rising in his throat. It had all happened so fast that he still could not understand how Hal Jordan had attacked.
"Magnetic Field Rotation, Cellular Reorganization!" Roland hurried to heal his injuries and prepared to burst out of the Moon. Before he could move, Green Lantern came hurtling in at tremendous speed and knocked him back down.
"That guy's a monster!" Green Lantern caught his breath. "No—he really is
