Green Lantern had never imagined that a battle between two Peerless Powerhouses could last this long.
"Roland is one thing, but is the other me this inhuman too?" Green Lantern had been watching from the sidelines for two and a half years. During the six months he had fought alongside Roland, he had discovered that his stamina simply could not keep up with those two, and joining in did little good. He had opted to leave the battlefield and observe Hal Jordan's weaknesses instead.
"Magnetic Field Rotation, 999,000 horsepower—Hell Reincarnation Sword!" Countless streaks of sword light crashed against the green barrier, unleashing earth-shattering power.
Blood sprayed from the corner of Roland's mouth. Over these three years, his strength had continued to grow as he fought Hal Jordan, but he still had no way to defeat his opponent.
"Still haven't found an opening?" Roland asked Green Lantern. "I can't hold out much longer."
"His mind. Something is wrong with his mind," Green Lantern said. "Otherwise, he wouldn't have become like this."
"Isn't that obvious? The problem is, attacking his mind doesn't work either!" Roland gathered power from the Warp and unleashed a Psionic Howl, but the cry, powerful enough to shatter an enemy's mind, struck Hal Jordan without having any effect.
"You're using it wrong. His mind has already been destroyed. What good will destroying it further do?" Green Lantern said seriously. "Give me your Orange Lantern Ring, then help me create an opportunity to get close to him."
"That's no easy task." Roland tossed the Orange Lantern Ring to Green Lantern. "I'll do my best."
Hal Jordan remained silent, simply continuing to unleash terrifying attacks on Roland.
"Perfect Moment!" Roland used his psionic power to perceive everything about Hal Jordan, including his few small openings.
