"I see." After witnessing all of Hal Jordan's memories, Green Lantern understood how it had come to this. That only made the problem more daunting.
There was no persuading an opponent like this. They could only end it by defeating him with force.
But given this Hal Jordan's fighting strength, Green Lantern doubted that even he and Roland together could beat him.
Soon, Green Lantern's soul returned to his body, and he told Roland what his other self had experienced.
"Emerald Twilight, Zero Hour, Final Night, Blackest Night—" Roland's expression twisted. "Sure enough, this Hal Jordan has been through far more than you. At least he never fought in the war on Apokolips. Otherwise, he'd have that devastating God of Light position too."
"He's lost in his memories right now, but he'll wake soon. You'd better think of something." Green Lantern gathered his strength for one last stand. "And those memories weren't exactly pleasant. Knowing myself, I'd say he's about to lose control."
"Couldn't you have a better temper?" Roland quietly gathered his power, ready to fight Hal Jordan again.
"That's just how I am." Green Lantern managed a smile. "Come on. If we can't stop him, Barry won't be the only one stuck here. We will be too."
"Then let's go." Roland's eyes turned blue. A frost born of Psionic Power spread outward, and the surrounding space gradually shattered, revealing the uncanny Warp.
"Right." Green Lantern formed a brilliant emerald blade of light and slashed at Hal Jordan.
"Vortex of Destruction!" Roland tore open a rift to the Warp and swallowed Hal Jordan whole.
Hal Jordan remained silent. He raised a hand
