"How could you talk to your big sister like that!" Kara said irritably.
"Roland, could you do something about her?" Superman said helplessly.
"This is a family dispute. It's not my place to get involved." Roland shrugged. "Why don't you go to the Bottle City and find Zor-El—"
"All right, stop talking." Kara clapped a hand over Roland's mouth. "You know too much."
"Mmph—" Roland twisted his neck. "All right. Since everything's fine between you and Bruce, I won't worry about it."
"There wasn't anything wrong to begin with. Besides, you could've just asked Bruce directly. Why call me over here?" Superman shrugged.
Was I supposed to say I was worried you'd turn into Homelander? Roland's mouth twitched, and he hid the milk in his pocket.
"But since I'm already here, I might as well enjoy myself for a while," Superman said. "I still have two days of vacation—"
Before Superman could finish, his phone rang.
"Hello, Editor-in-Chief Perry? I'm on vacation right now," Superman answered, looking exasperated.
"I know, but we've got big news!" The voice of Perry White, editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, came through the phone.
"Look, I'm not even in Metropolis right now. Do you know how long it'll take me to get back?"
"Less than a second, probably," Kara interjected.
"Don't interrupt—sorry, Editor-in-Chief Perry, I was talking to my little sister—anyway, I'm in Gotham City right now, so I might—"
"Exactly. Gotham City," Perry White said. "I called you because I knew you were vacationing there. Why else do you think I called you instead of Lois?"
"—All right. What big news has Gotham City cooked up this time?" Superman asked.
"Bruce Wayne, the billionaire who founded the Superhero Corporation, has been charged. And it's a criminal prosecution," Perry White said, dropping a bombshell.
"Bruce?"
