"Okay, setting Darkseid aside, how are you going to deal with those people in the medical community?" Kara asked Roland.
"Just ignore them." Roland shook his head. "What can they do to me? At most, they can send the Gotham City Police Station after me. Am I supposed to be scared of that?"
"True enough." Kara nodded. "What about Bruce, then?"
"We have even less to worry about on Bruce's end. Those legal sharks he keeps on payroll—I mean, lawyers—are more than enough to give the medical community a hard time," Roland said casually.
"That's true, too."
"So let's just enjoy our lives, eat well, drink well—" Roland yawned. "If anything comes up, you, Jason, and Cassie can work it out together. I'm going to enjoy my retirement."
"All you did was go out to deliver Christmas presents. Is this really necessary?" Kara was rather speechless. "Santa Claus only works one day a year, and you still managed to turn yourself into some burned-out middle-aged office worker. You're really overdoing it."
