Nacrene City lay in the southeast of the Unova Region. It had grown from a collection of large warehouses built a century ago.

The city rented out its unused warehouses to artists as spaces where they could create.

Burgh, the Gym Leader of Castelia City and a renowned artist, had come from Nacrene City.

That was why it was also known as the "City of Art."

Nacrene Gym was housed inside a large museum.

Its Gym Leader, Lenora, also served as the museum's director.

Her husband, Munch, was the museum's deputy director and a tour guide.
