Mingyou had been waiting at the Haunted House exit for ages. He was starting to find it strange, especially since no other visitors had come out in the past ten minutes.
Aside from him, a few family members who hadn't dared enter the Haunted House were waiting nearby. The place wasn't particularly big. It shouldn't have taken this long.
Just as he was about to ask a staff member whether something had happened, a sudden explosion caught everyone's attention.

With a thunderous crash, two figures burst through the roof of the Haunted House. An oversized Misdreavus shielded itself with its dragon-wing-like hair, looking stunned as it blocked an attack from the masked figure before it.
Ogerpon held Ralts in one arm and a red Ivy Cudgel in the other, looking every bit a warrior!

With Embody Aspect, Ogerpon's strength surged. The oversized Misdreavus clearly wasn't suited to close combat. Once Ogerpon got in range, it couldn't defend itself at all. The Ivy Cudgel sent it flying into a pendulum ride nearby.
The sudden battle sent the surrounding visitors scattering. Mingyou hurried over to Ogerpon as it landed and took the trembling Ralts from its arms. One look at the scene told him what had happened.
"You were attacked?"
Mingyou frowned. He knew Ogerpon's temperament better than anyone. Even when bullied, it usually wouldn't fight back. This time, the enemy must have attacked with the intent to kill.
The dust ahead cleared, and the oversized Misdreavus slowly floated up. Mingyou was about to demand why it had attacked when he got a clear look at it and froze.
