Shock flashed across Selene's face for the first time. As far as she could tell, Lucario had done nothing but take an attacking stance. She hadn't even seen its aura stir. There was no way it should have formed an Aura Sphere and launched an attack that quickly.
But this was no time to think about it. Decidueye, a veteran hunter, reacted just as fast. Being a Ghost-type Pokémon was no reason to disregard a Fighting-type move—not when aura was involved!
Without hesitation, it abandoned its shot, turned with the motion of drawing its bow, and spread its wings to dodge. Flight was its advantage. Lucario was just a miniature Groudon; it couldn't fly. Once its attack missed and it began to fall, Decidueye would have the perfect opening!
It was a good plan, and Decidueye successfully slipped out of Lucario's attack path. With the Aura Sphere about to launch, Lucario couldn't possibly stop now...

The Aura Sphere on the verge of firing vanished. In its place, a long blue bone club appeared, and Lucario swung it hard to the right!
The tip struck Decidueye's wing just as it tried to fly away, slamming it to the ground. Pale feathers scattered in the wind.
