When Mingyou rode Miraidon back to the villa from Ripple Bay, the police cars outside and several familiar International Police officers made his heart tighten. Had something serious happened?

At Calyrex's words, Mingyou stopped worrying about anything else and ran through the rain toward the villa. At the entrance, he saw Akari and the butler giving their statements to Looker and Officer Jenny.
Hearing his footsteps, Akari shot him a look. Mingyou understood at once and relaxed. She was telling him nothing was wrong.
But his arrival also caught Looker's attention. Mingyou had been someone the International Police were watching just days ago, and now this had happened. Though he had not been present, Looker still needed to question him.
Mingyou stopped and asked first, "What happened here?"
"Someone sent a large group of well-trained Pokémon to attack Miss Cynthia's villa, but your Pokémon defeated every one of them."
After answering, Looker immediately asked, "Has anything strange happened here recently? Is there something inside the villa that might draw an attack? Or have you seen anyone suspicious lurking nearby?"
He added, "Judging by the timing, those Pokémon arrived shortly after you left. Whoever sent them must have been watching from nearby, waiting for that chance."

Looker then asked where he had gone. Mingyou answered that a Pokémon had fallen ill, and with no medicine at the villa, he had rushed out to buy some. There was nothing particularly questionable about that answer.
