Flutter Mane faced the three Iron Jugulis alone. Overpowered Sis showed off her might once more, beating her wings as she grinned and seized a sphere of Moonblast light. With a slam dunk, she sent one Iron Jugulis crashing out of the sky.
The other two immediately fired Dark Pulse at her. Flutter Mane merely shielded herself with her dragon wings, forming a ring of pink light around her body that blocked every attack.
"Keep attacking their middle heads. That's where their control cores are. Knock those offline, and they'll lose the ability to move."
After only a moment's observation, Mingyou had found Iron Jugulis's weakness. At his words, Flutter Mane blazed with light. Dazzling Gleam shot in three directions at once, striking each Iron Jugulis squarely in the head.
All three fell from the sky. Their electronically synthesized cries faded into the mist, bringing the sudden crisis to an end.
"So... so amazing!"
Liko and Sprigatito stared in awe. Those mechanical monsters looked like something out of a movie, yet they had all been defeated in under three minutes. A crisis? It had been nothing more than a sweet little appetizer.
Flutter Mane returned to Mingyou's side. He turned to the stunned Liko and said with a light smile, "If you want to get stronger, I can teach you. I'm no teacher, but I like that you want to help your friends."
"Huh? Really? Wouldn't I be a bother?"
"Not at all. Besides... I'm pretty good at bothering people myself."
Mingyou knew himself well, and recognizing that was growth in its own right. He continued, "Head back to the Helm and tell Friede and the others that I'll protect the Brave Olivine!"
"Okay!"
Liko nodded. After what had just happened, she knew she wasn't strong enough to help yet.
