A First Meeting and a Deal with Misty

Two straight days of autumn rain had swept away the summer heat. After the rain, the streets looked like mirror-smooth rivers winding through dense shadows of trees, bringing a touch of coolness to Cerulean City.

The rain had only just stopped, so there were few pedestrians or cars. Several Poliwag and Marill splashed back and forth through puddles, having the time of their lives.

Mingyou walked along the street with his Rotom Phone, watching Ogerpon, who was visiting a city for the first time, run over to splash in the puddles with the other Pokémon.

"Don't run off. Let's eat at that restaurant first. I've already booked us a table online."

Ogerpon nodded and immediately ran back to Mingyou. She threw her arms around him, then took his hand as they walked on together.
