Naturally, Bai Ranmo had a cheat of his own as a transmigrator.
Perhaps Bai Ranmo's resentment had run too deep. If he'd had a few clones back then to take on those slippery bastards in the group, he wouldn't have ended up in such a sorry state. In the end, he awakened the Infinite Clones Panel.
As the name suggested, given enough Emotion Points, the panel could generate unlimited clones. He could adjust each clone's stats himself, but the higher the stats and the more overpowered its abilities, the more Emotion Points it cost.
Emotion Points were energy produced when the complex emotions of intelligent beings merged with the world's magnetic field.
The stronger someone was, or the greater their fortune, the more Emotion Points he could gain from them.
But Bai Ranmo had only the 1,000 Emotion Points he'd received at the start. At most, that would get him a Soul Ancestor clone.
Rather than make one Soul Ancestor clone, Bai Ranmo had another idea: could he rack up Emotion Points by provoking someone blessed with great fortune?
But people with great fortune were generally powerful. They weren't people he could afford to provoke...
After turning it over in his mind, Bai Ranmo thought of someone.
That someone was Yu Xiaogang—Gangzi—the most "authoritative" Grandmaster on the entire Douluo Continent.
And this guy was ridiculously easy to set off. A couple of taunts would fill the screen with Emotion Points.
The only problem was that he could gain no more than 999 Emotion Points at a time. Otherwise, Bai Ranmo figured he could make several Titled Douluo clones just by mocking Yu Xiaogang.
Bai Ranmo felt his Soul Power nearing its limit and stopped running.
Seeing this, Gangzi breathed a deep sigh of relief and fled faster, though humiliation was written all over his face.
It was an utter disgrace. He was the son of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's leader, one of the Golden Iron Triangle, and a Grandmaster of Martial Soul Theory. Yet a mere White-Ring Soul Master had chased and mocked him for a month.
Worse, there was nothing he could do. Every time the urge to kill arose, some external factor forced him to suppress it.
For one thing, his Fart Soul Skill was too ridiculous. Killing anyone with it would be a stretch.
For another, killing a Soul Master on a whim in Nuoding City would bring him plenty of trouble.
"Time to give my other clones top-tier talents." Bai Ranmo rubbed his chin. His original consciousness currently occupied this middle-aged man.
Emotion Points generated by someone he provoked in person were slightly higher than those generated by a clone.
The consciousness in each clone was like a copy of his soul pasted into it. And these soul clones came with a guarantee: they would never betray the original him.
Besides, he could take control of any clone's body whenever he wanted.
Apart from the clone he used to provoke Gangzi every day, he had four others.
Two were in Holy Soul Village, one was in Spirit City, and one was in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
One of the Holy Soul Village clones was an adult. The other three clones were children.
The day of Martial Soul Awakening was almost here, but Bai Ranmo hadn't given those three Martial Souls or Innate Soul Power when he created them. He'd been too poor.
Now things were different!
The points he'd wrung out of Gangzi were enough to produce three geniuses with Innate Full Soul Power.
To stir up people's emotions, he needed his people in every faction. Whether it was the supposedly righteous Shrek crowd or the villains of Spirit Hall, he wanted clones among their leaders.
Tang San was certainly no saint, but Spirit Hall wasn't necessarily much better. That wasn't to say Spirit Hall was a bad organization; corruption and factional power struggles were inevitable within any organization that large.
Especially with a madwoman as Spirit Hall's pope. Siding with them might not lead to victory in the end.
But what Martial Souls should he give the three of them? Bai Ranmo was stumped.
For the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect clone, Bai Ranmo first thought of Sword Douluo. The Seven Kill Sword was a top-tier Martial Soul, perhaps not much weaker than the Clear Sky Hammer. Maybe he should give that clone a Sword Martial Soul.
As for the other two...
Designing Martial Souls from scratch was too much trouble. He might as well draw on classic anime from his previous life.
Satoru Gojo came to mind first. The Six Eyes and Limitless would be absolutely broken on Douluo Continent.
Then there was the Zenin Clan's Ten Shadows Technique...
His mind made up, Bai Ranmo began assigning Martial Souls.
First, he gave the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect clone a Sword Martial Soul and Innate Full Soul Power. As for what kind of sword it would be, he left that to the panel to generate at random. A top-tier Martial Soul couldn't be bad.
Next came the Six Eyes for the clone in Spirit City and the Ten Shadows Technique Martial Soul for the one in Holy Soul Village.
Watching the nearly 27,000 Emotion Points on the panel fall to less than 10,000 made Bai Ranmo's heart ache. Adding a talent or Martial Soul after a clone had been created cost twice as many Emotion Points.
The Emotion Points he'd spent so long farming from Gangzi were gone in the blink of an eye.
After all that, Gangzi was probably too scared to leave the academy for a while. Bai Ranmo didn't even know where he lived, so farming more Emotion Points would be difficult.
Bai Ranmo: Scheming in progress...
The next day.
On a hill near Holy Soul Village.
A six-year-old child appeared there. He had slightly dark skin, ordinary looks, short black hair, and worn clothes.
He sat cross-legged on a large rock, breathing softly through his nose and mouth as purple energy rose and swirled around him.
He opened his ink-black eyes. A purple gleam seemed to pass through them.
The child opened his mouth and breathed out a stream of white vapor. The purple light flowing over his body faded away.
He was none other than Tang San, the protagonist of Douluo Continent.
Still no luck... It's been almost three months, but my Mysterious Heaven Skill still can't break through its bottleneck, and I can't improve my Mysterious Jade Hand any further. I don't remember having this much trouble breaking through in my previous life. Is it because this is a different world? Tang San wondered.
"Mysterious... Mysterious Heaven Skill!" a shocked, raspy voice cried out.
Tang San, still lost in thought, felt his heart tighten.
He whipped his head around and saw a white-haired old man approaching him, his face full of delight.
"Mysterious Heaven Skill... It really is Mysterious Heaven Skill!" The old man stumbled toward Tang San.
Tang San took a wary step back, his body settling into a stance ready to attack.
"Sir, what are you talking about? I don't understand!" Tang San asked coldly.
But his thoughts were in turmoil. Who was this old man? How did he know about the Mysterious Heaven Skill? No one but Tang San, a transmigrator, should have known a technique from the Tang Sect of his previous life.
Could it be...
A possibility struck Tang San, one he could hardly believe.
"Kid, drop the act. I've already seen through you...!" The old man chuckled. "That's the Mysterious Heaven Skill you're using. You must be a disciple of my Bashu Tang Sect too."
