Gu Rong, who stood nearby, spoke up. "Xiao Ran, it's been a long time. Our sect master thought so highly of you, yet you joined Spirit Hall. And Yu Xiaogang told me you did something improper with our Rongrong!"

A black space opened above Gu Rong, and bone spikes poured from it like a torrential rain.

Yue Guan's expression changed sharply. "Go, all of you! I'll hold them off!"

Petals filled the sky, forming a spherical barrier that blocked every bone spike.

"Go!" Yan grabbed Xiao Ran's arm and ran toward the edge of the forest.

Dugu Bo sneered. "Trying to run? Dream on!"

The Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor's poison swept in from all sides. Purple Poison Mist took the shape of a giant python, which bared its fangs and lunged at Xiao Ran.

"Super Fusion: Dark Lugiel!" Xiao Ran threw a punch and shattered the poisonous python. The shockwave scattered a vast swath of Poison Mist.

Seeing the two pull farther away, Gu Rong made a quick decision. "Old Poison, I'll hold off Chrysanthemum Guan. Go after them."

"Got it!"

Dugu Bo flew after them.

"Not so fast! Fifth Soul Skill: Gathering of Cold Blossoms!"

Countless petals gathered into an enormous chrysanthemum blade that came whistling down at Dugu Bo!

Chains of white bone wove a spatial cage, sealing off the space around him and Chrysanthemum Douluo.

"Well played, Gu Rong. You went straight for your Eighth Soul Skill." Chrysanthemum Douluo prepared to break through the spatial seal.

The ground shook violently. Crimson lava and massive rocks surged upward as thick stone pillars burst from the earth, blocking Dugu Bo's path.

"Child's play!" Dugu Bo raised a hand. The Jade Phosphorous Serpent Emperor's poison condensed into a beam and slammed straight into the Flame Pillar.

The beam struck, instantly corroding the crimson lava into charred fragments. The Flame Pillar snapped in the middle and collapsed, while the Poison Mist knocked Yan unconscious.

"Shit! He didn't even last ten seconds." Xiao Ran looked utterly defeated.

"Yin-Yang Butterfly Wings!"

Xiao Ran immediately released his External Soul Bone. Boosted by the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Soul Bone as well, he shot out of the forest.

Dugu Bo might have been the weakest Titled Douluo, but he was still a Titled Douluo. Before long, he caught up to Xiao Ran.
