Inside Konoha's Hokage's Office.
"Lord Hokage, this is Lady Tsunade's decision..."
Uchiha Yufeng rushed back to Konoha and informed the Third Hokage of Tsunade's current situation.
Though the Third Hokage had been prepared, he still felt somewhat disappointed when he heard that Tsunade ultimately had no intention of returning.
Was he, as their teacher, really such a disappointment?
The Third Hokage could not help but begin doubting himself.
Of his three disciples, famed throughout the Ninja World, two were no longer in Konoha.
One had become a drunken gambler, while the other had become a novelist, traveling everywhere in search of the legendary Child of Prophecy, with no trace of him to be found.
With war looming, the only dependable disciple he could rely on was Orochimaru.
The Third Hokage still harbored some wariness toward Orochimaru.
After all, he had previously ordered him to cooperate with Shimura Danzō and conduct human experiments on village volunteers. However, the results had been too poor, so he had eventually ordered them stopped.
From then on, the Third Hokage had felt that he could no longer quite see through his disciple Orochimaru...
If Hatake Sakumo were still alive, would Konoha not be in such a passive position against the war launched by Sunagakure?
Unfortunately, he was dead in the end...
"Lord Hokage, Lord Orochimaru has arrived."
Hearing the Anbu's report, the Third Hokage finally emerged from his memories.
"Let him in!"
Before long, Orochimaru walked in.
When he saw Uchiha Yufeng in the room, a strange, heated gleam flashed through his eyes.
"Orochimaru, Konoha has no choice but to respond to Sunagakure's incursions. With the Ninja World as complicated as it is now, we need to end this war quickly! I'm placing you in command of the forces sent to the front lines!"
Orochimaru
