Draco Apologized

As dusk fell, Luo Bin folded away his wings and stroked Fang's big head. "My wings are getting more responsive. Give me a few more months, and I should have the Flying Spell down!"

Woof! Woof! Woof!

Fang wagged his tail happily, as if celebrating his friend's progress. To him, Luo Bin was like a fledgling that had only just grown feathers, with no mother bird to guide him. All he could do was flap about and try to fly on his own.

Fang had seen his friend improve. He circled behind Luo Bin and nudged him toward the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

"I know. Work and rest in moderation!"

Luo Bin squeezed Fang's wonderfully soft ears and slowly walked out of the Forbidden Forest.

"Luo Bin, stay for dinner! I made loads of Ferret Sandwiches. I've changed the recipe, so they taste different now!"

Luo Bin had brought biscuits, milk, and a Hamburger for lunch. After practicing all day, he really was hungry, but he had no desire to try Hagrid's latest creation. He politely declined and strode toward the Castle.

At dinner in the Great Hall, he noticed that Draco was barely eating. Draco kept sneaking glances at him, looking painfully constipated with something he wanted to say. When their eyes met, Draco whipped his head away and moved his lips, pretending to chat with Crabbe.

The glances continued until Luo Bin left the Entrance Hall.

At half past ten that night, the Dormitory door creaked open. Draco shuffled over to his desk. Sensing Draco's gaze, Luo Bin took his time finishing the tenth section of Blood Curse Progress before turning to look at him.

"We have Professor McGonagall's class tomorrow. I don't want to doze off and get sent to stand in the corner."
