Snape raised an eyebrow. Unreadable emotions churned in his black eyes.

After a few stunned seconds, he strode up to Luo Bin, his expression deadly serious. "Luo Bin Sear, where did you hear that nonsense? If those old fossils at the Ministry of Magic, with nothing better to do than count the feathers on a Snowy Owl, heard you say that, they'd jump three feet in the air and haul you off to Azkaban in a dragon-drawn carriage."

"Listen to me. Smash those words to pieces and throw them away. Never tell anyone else—not even me!"

Memory Extraction existed in the Wizarding World. With a special liquid, it could recreate a portion of a person's extracted memories. Aurors at the Ministry of Magic often used it on suspects awaiting trial. Of course, there was a spell designed to counter it: Occlumency. Severus Snape knew it.

Luo Bin knew Snape agreed with him deep down, and he understood why Snape had said all this. "Don't worry, Professor," he replied earnestly. "What I said just now won't leave this room."

Snape studied Luo Bin for a long while. Once he was sure Luo Bin wasn't lying, he straightened and asked, "You didn't come to my office just to hear my comments on the second draft of your Fiji Red-Eyed Iguana report, did you?"
