Luo Bin took out the Spyglass Hagrid had given him and scanned the top of the wall. Five minutes later, he spotted the tip of a dusty gray ear on one of the towers.
He tapped Hermione on the shoulder. "The outer wall of the Pitch, fifth tower from the right, the one with the red flag. Don't alert him. Pretend you're just casually scanning past."
"Okay!"
Hermione raised her binoculars again. She scanned from the first tower to the last, then slowly narrowed her search. Before long, she spotted half an elf's face.
He had broad, pointed bat ears, a large forehead covered in overlapping wrinkles, bulging eyes the size of tennis balls, and a long, thin, pointed nose. He could hardly be called handsome. In fact, his appearance was rather unsettling.
"Luo Bin, I see him. He looks just like the House-elves described in books. Is he the Dobby you were talking about?"
