Getting the hair

"All right, Luo Bin just gave me a look. He's finished too!"

Hermione wiped the tomato juice from the corners of her mouth, bringing her sumptuous dinner to an end.

"I... I'm nearly done too. Just wait until I finish this chicken drumstick!"

Ron picked up a large drumstick and took an enormous bite. Not wanting to keep his friends waiting too long, he swallowed after barely chewing.

By the time Hermione noticed that the drumstick hadn't been fried all the way through, he had already eaten two-thirds of it.

"Stop! Stop eating, Ron! That drumstick isn't cooked. The meat's pink, and there's even blood in it. Didn't you notice?"

Ron looked down at the drumstick. It was exactly as Hermione had said, and suddenly his mouth seemed full of the bloody taste of raw meat.

"Urgh—urgh!"

"Come on, hurry! I need to get to the bathroom and throw it all up!"

Ron grabbed a wad of napkins, covered his mouth and nose, and raced toward the second floor. He didn't even stop when Percy called to him!

"What happened to him?"

After nodding to the others, Luo Bin headed upstairs first. When Harry and Hermione caught up, he asked them in bewilderment.

"Oh, he was too greedy. He actually swallowed raw chicken!"

"It wasn't entirely his fault. The drumstick was covered in golden breadcrumbs, with oil oozing out of it. I wouldn't have realized it was undercooked at first glance either."

Harry offered this explanation on his friend's behalf.

"But one bite would have told you it was raw. Never mind. We shouldn't expect too much of Ron."

Once the three of them entered the Second-Floor Girls' Bathroom, a constant stream of retching and gagging reached them from one of the stalls.
