Ten minutes later, in the Second-Floor Girls' Bathroom!
Hermione stood with her hands on her hips, glaring angrily at the two boys coming through the door. "You only had to pluck a few hairs, and it took you twenty minutes?!"
"Hermione, did you get a set of Slytherin robes in Millicent Bulstrode's size?"
Hermione froze. "I... apparently... didn't!" she stammered.
Luo Bin sighed, his expression saying he had known this would happen. When Hermione started clawing at her hair in a panic, he pulled one oversized robe after another from the Blue Cloth Pouch.
"Here. Harry and I made a special detour to the Slytherin laundry room before coming back. Where's Ron?"
Hermione took the clothes and gave Luo Bin a grateful smile, then shrugged. "A raw chicken leg knocked him out of action. First he threw up, then he got diarrhea. He went to the Hospital Wing clutching his stomach. I wanted to go with him, but he wouldn't let me. Besides, someone had to watch the cauldron, so..."
"So, Luo Bin, you'll have to turn into Goyle or Crabbe and help us!"
Harry finished for her.
With two pairs of bright eyes fixed on him, Luo Bin found it hard to refuse. "All right, then!"
Hermione was delighted. She hugged Luo Bin and thanked him over and over. Only after Harry reminded her did she turn her attention back to the cauldron.
Holding a glass stirring rod, she stirred clockwise a dozen or so times, then divided the thick, black, mudlike potion evenly among three glasses.
Hermione held a hair between her fingers, her expression solemn. "The final step. Nothing can go wrong now!"
Then she dropped the hair into her glass. The potion bubbled like boiling water, then black foam formed on its surface like freshly poured
