Though its body was enormous, it had no power to resist. Once Golden Crocodile Douluo truly unleashed his strength, the Golden Behemoth was no different from a chick awaiting slaughter.
A grating barrage of cracking bones erupted, accompanied by the Golden Behemoth's furious, agonized roars. The initial ferocity of those roars was gradually ground hoarse by pain, until they became as faint as a thread of breath.
"Come here."
Golden Crocodile Douluo waved his great hand, and Tang Shan, suspended in midair, swiftly descended under the pull of his soul power. At the same time, the enormous crocodile claw pinning down the Golden Behemoth quietly dispersed.
By now, where was the overwhelming ferocity the Golden Behemoth had displayed upon its arrival? White bone splinters had pierced through its hide and jutted outward. Most of its bones had been crushed to fragments beneath the crocodile claw, and thick blood wound down its fur, gathering into a small pool on the ground.
Blood seeped from all seven of its facial orifices, leaving it hideously fearsome.
Its once blood-red eyes had now turned deep purple, as pure as amethyst.
"Grandpa Golden Crocodile, its eyes?"
Tang Shan was somewhat puzzled.
"That's why I said it seemed to have mutated. Sometimes, when it fights itself into a frenzy, pale purple energy resembling the color of its eyes surges through its body, and its strength suddenly shoots up.
"But that increase in strength is extremely unstable, which is why I called it a mutation."
"Foolish humans."
The rough voice that suddenly rang out stunned both Golden Crocodile Douluo and Tang Shan. Then, as one, they turned toward its source and met a pair of fathomless purple eyes.
