At the High Tower, Harry, Hermione, Neville, and Ron were doing their homework.
Ron was copying Hermione's homework. "Colin's been chasing you around again. I bet he'll be waiting outside the door when we leave."
There were two ways in and out of the High Tower. Besides the usual entrance, there was a Vanishing Cabinet on the third floor. It was a magical device, rather like a portal, and its twin stood in a room on Hogwarts' Seventh Floor, along the same Corridor as the Room of Requirement.
Colin was a fan of Harry's and the current president of the Harry Potter Fan Club. He was also the one who had photographed Harry in the bathroom last year and taken the picture of him slaying the Basilisk. The Daily Prophet had even bought that photograph.
"What are you thinking about, Harry?"
"Defence Against the Dark Arts," Harry said, sounding distracted.
"You'll get a chance to face the Boggart. Hermione didn't get a turn either, remember?"
"I feel like Lupin doesn't want me to face it." Harry looked glum.
"Maybe that's for the best. Look at me... I'm afraid Professor Snape will be really disappointed in me," Neville said uneasily. "And Professor Lupin might be worried it'll turn into... Voldemort or someone like that."
Hermione and Ron both agreed with Neville.
Hermione put away the long Defence Against the Dark Arts essay she had written on parchment, much to Ron's disappointment. "That would terrify the other students."
"Yeah, I know," Harry said.
"What would it turn into for you?" Ron asked Hermione with a grin. "An assignment that got nine out of ten instead of full marks? Or a notice saying you'd failed a class?"
"I don't know. Maybe Professor McGonagall telling me I'd failed several classes." Hermione shook her head,
