An hour later, Will stepped into the Headmaster's Office, where Dumbledore was eating caramel pudding in his pajamas.
"What do you mean, you converted the magical structure into Ancient Runes?" Dumbledore considered himself a man who had seen it all, including countless geniuses, yet Will still managed to shock him time and again.
What were Ancient Runes? They were a magical system created by ancient wizards over long ages, symbols that truly contained special magic.
Will's ability to turn potions into charms was already remarkable. Although the charms were complicated and did not belong to mainstream modern charms, it was still an extraordinary achievement. Now Will was saying that he had converted a potion into a charm, then converted that charm into Ancient Runes?
Will nodded. "Exactly. Now Professor Flitwick wants me to publish this paper in Today's Charms and the Rune Research Gazette."
Dumbledore said nothing. He put the last piece of pudding into his mouth, apparently considering how to handle this.
After a moment, Dumbledore spoke. "What do you think?"
"How about publishing the Wolfsbane Potion paper first, then the paper on potion-charm conversion? We can focus on the conversion of potions and leave out the Ancient Runes aspect for now." Will did not want to reveal the new runes to the public.
"You don't want to reveal the new runes?" Dumbledore immediately guessed what was on Will's mind. He took two slices of cake topped with cream and icing from a nearby drawer and handed one to Will.
