In the middle of Lupin's Office stood a familiar old wardrobe—the one he had used when he first introduced his students to the Boggart.
Will wanted to face a Boggart again. More precisely, he wanted to face Harry's Boggart: a Dementor.
He had considered going back to when Dementors were still stationed at Hogwarts and dealing with a real one. After weighing the risks, though, Will had given up on the idea. He wasn't confident he could keep a Dementor under control.
So he had asked Lupin and Harry for help. Harry would face the Boggart again, and Will would test his Patronus Charm.
