As soon as the two men entered, Rock Rowle locked the door behind them. As president of the Society for the Promotion of Alchemical Excellence, he had a plausible reason to visit Will. But in the public eye, Lucius had no business being in Will's hospital room.

"My uncle." Will's tone was almost cold. "He started school around the same time you did. I don't want him knowing anything about the Professor."

Lucius and Rock Rowle exchanged a glance. Neither recognized Hobert.

"Mr. Behrens, you played a major part in this incident. The Master is very pleased." Lucius paid Hobert no further attention.

"It was my duty. I'm willing to give everything for the Professor." Fanaticism lit Will's face, as though he were a zealot. "I'll always be willing to sacrifice for him."

"You're very loyal, Mr. Behrens. That's why the Master has asked me to help you find your place among the Death Eaters quickly." Lucius lowered his voice. "And to help you do that, he has a special assignment for you..."

"That's exactly what I was hoping for! I'm ready to go right now!" Will sat up straight. The delight on his face startled even Rock Rowle. This kid's loyalty knows no bounds.

"Not so fast, Mr. Behrens. You need to recover first. It won't happen anytime soon." Lucius hurriedly waved him off. Will clearly had not recovered; if anything happened to him during the assault on Azkaban,
