After leaving Knockturn Alley, Will used Apparition to return home. He had stuffed all the Dark Wizards into the basement.
Will had made a few simple changes to the basement. It was more of a dungeon now. The Dark Wizards no longer had their wands, but he remained cautious and poured Draught of Living Death down every one of their throats. Better safe than sorry.
Will had no plans to start experimenting tonight. He needed to think about how to handle Voldemort's request and set up the house while he was at it. The Potion Room, for one, wouldn't be as convenient as the Room of Requirement.
Will arranged ten cauldrons in two rows, thinking as he worked.
Voldemort had his eye on the Lestrange family. What he wanted was clear: Will was to find out what they knew about Hufflepuff's Cup.
Voldemort had no reliable information because Roy's branch of the Lestrange family had sided entirely with Dumbledore back then.
The Death Eaters and the pure-blood families had no way of getting anything definite out of Roy and his family.
Of course, Voldemort had said that Will should get his hands on Hufflepuff's Cup if he had the chance.
Will still hadn't decided what to do about that. Strictly speaking, Hufflepuff's Cup belonged to him now. He would need to come up with a plausible story to fool Voldemort.
As for the other matter, Will had a few guesses. The Death Eaters' major operation this year would either be an invasion of the Department of Mysteries to find the Prophecy Orb or a prison break at Azkaban. Judging by the timeline, it was most likely the Azkaban breakout.
Will wondered whether he should tell Dumbledore so they could stop the breakout before it happened.
