Snape did not particularly want to go. He waved a hand. "I know, Filius."
Professor Flitwick spread his hands. After so many years with Snape, he was used to it. "Professor Dumbledore also asked you to find time to visit him today."
"Mm." Snape nodded. Professor Flitwick set a list on Snape's desk, then turned and opened the door.
"Oh, and Will, don't forget your Charms tutoring tonight," Professor Flitwick reminded him on his way out.
"Yes, Professor. See you tonight." Will nodded.
With his Werewolf research finished, Will had returned to his regular tutoring sessions. Professor Flitwick was pleased to see him settle back into a normal routine.
The Office door closed, and the scent of herbs once again drifted through the room.
Snape guided Will step by step:

More than an hour later, the Cauldron was full of black liquid with a faint, gentle fragrance.
Snape scooped out a small spoonful and examined it carefully before nodding. "Now put the lid on the Cauldron. Keep it over a low flame to maintain the temperature, and proceed to the next stage in three days."
Many Potions took a long time to brew. Polyjuice Potion required twenty-one days; Greening Potion, which forced plants to sprout, took five days; and Felix Felicis took a full six months.
By comparison, the potion Snape called the "Water of Despair" took only thirteen days, which was relatively short.
