Hagrid and Ron finally stopped arguing. They turned toward the unremarkable-looking wooden house.

"What, are you all just going to stand there? Aren't you coming in?"

Everyone filed inside, with Hagrid entering last.

As he crossed the threshold, he instinctively turned sideways, as though afraid he would get stuck in the doorway. But he didn't.

The door looked so narrow that an ordinary person would have to turn sideways to pass through. Yet as Hagrid's enormous body went through, the frame seemed to widen slightly, then returned to normal once he was inside.

He stood on the floor, looked back at the door, stepped out, and came in again. He repeated this twice, as if checking that he hadn't imagined it.

"This door—" Hagrid sounded puzzled.

"An automatic door." Will came in beside him and brushed wood shavings off his robes. "The frame adjusts its width to whoever enters.

"As long as they're not twice Grawp's size, they'll get through just fine."

Hagrid nodded in surprise.

But the inside of the house surprised him even more. Unlike Harry and the others, he had never been to the High Tower. He hadn't realized Will could make this place so large.

Now Hagrid stood just inside the doorway, a little dazed, looking around.

The interior was far less ordinary than the outside suggested. More than half the floor was still bare earth.

Hagrid's gaze traveled from the floor to the walls, then up to the ceiling. But what caught his eye most was the "house within a house"—a tall wooden cabin. Hagrid couldn't fathom why Will had put it there.

"What's this?" he asked.

"It's about ten meters high in here," Will said. "There's roughly seven hundred square feet of usable space, and the cabin takes up three hundred. The rest is
