A frantic scream came from the Hospital Wing. Hermione had watched Harry's features turn delicate and beautiful. His green eyes grew clear and bright, the few small blemishes on his face vanished, and his skin became smooth and soft. Even his black hair fell sleekly into place. Only the scar on his forehead marred that beautiful face.

But Hermione soon felt that the scar lent the face a fragile beauty instead.

Snape froze. She looked so much like her—so much like the girl he had once known. Especially when those green eyes met his. Snape parted his lips but could not make a sound.

"Harriette" shrank beneath the blanket. He had no desire to face Snape looking like this. Snape would surely mock him mercilessly.

But he was wrong. Seeing Harry hide beneath the blanket, Snape gave the faintest shake
