As far as Will was concerned, Voldemort had not truly gotten serious yet. After all, he had yet to use any of the tricks he had brought out against Dumbledore.

Will could at least tell that those had only been standard spells.

But now...

"What kind of Dark Magic is that?" Watching from the shadows, Scrimgeour felt his heart pound with dread. He had no idea what Voldemort was doing.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Will gave him no chance to finish casting. With a flick of his wand, a jet of green light shot straight at Voldemort.

"Protect the Master!" a Death Eater roared.

The next moment, several Death Eaters scrambled in front of Voldemort.

The Killing Curse was stopped in the simplest, most direct way possible.

Voldemort finished his incantation. The entire hall grew colder and more sinister, and Will noticed frost already forming around him, as though winter had arrived.

Great swathes of shadow began to appear as well, darkening the hall further. Will warily surveyed his surroundings.

"Rufus." Voldemort suddenly spoke, sneering. "With my loyal Death Eaters here, you cannot so much as touch the hem of my robes."

"Really?" The corners of Will's mouth lifted. "Then how about this? Avada Kedavra!"

Magic amplification! Activate!

Chain Avada Kedavra!

The Death Eaters still stood in front of Voldemort. He did not believe himself to be in any danger, but the smile on Will's face gave him a vague sense that something was wrong.

He was just about to raise his wand and direct the shadows when he noticed something horrifying—the Killing Curse was chaining!

From the moment it struck the first Death Eater, the Killing Curse began bouncing between them. The second, third, and fourth Death Eaters fell victim in succession.
