Scrimgeour spoke earnestly, even explaining some of the fundamentals of the so-called "Origin Spells." There was nothing amiss.
Dumbledore withdrew his Legilimency and nodded. Scrimgeour had already been one of the Wizarding World's finest wizards, with no shortage of aptitude. After a year devoted to study, an improvement in his abilities was only natural.
Those matters could wait. What mattered most now was finding a way to deal with Voldemort.
There was something else that worried him even more: neither Will nor Snape had received any word. Had their cover been blown?
Deeply troubled, Dumbledore exchanged a few more words with Scrimgeour, then rose and left St. Mungo's.
Starting this year, he would certainly have his hands full.

Of course, Scrimgeour would have no trouble. The fact that he had "stood against Voldemort" alone would be enough to carry him into office.
If anyone failed to take the hint and tried to contest it, Will would simply have to settle matters outside the game.
There was one other thing. Will looked down at the flame patterns on his arm—the marks left by the Unbreakable Vow. He needed to find a way to deal with them.
