"Go back to the family?" Hobert frowned, puzzled. "Let's talk in the car."
Will nodded and headed toward the parking lot with Hobert.
Hobert had driven another eye-catching sports car that day, though this one was not a convertible.
As he started the engine, Hobert asked in a puzzled tone, "Will, why do you want to go back to the family? Are you out of money? You can always ask me for some.
"Or have you gotten a few girls pregnant? We'd have to think about how to handle that.
"The point is, there's absolutely no need for you to go back. Tina—oh, that's your father's wife—is pregnant this year. I don't think going back now would be a good idea.
"If you want to rejoin the family, let's discuss it first, all right? I'll help you. I'll persuade them. You're doing well in the Wizarding World, you've made a name for yourself, and you're exceptionally talented. There shouldn't be much resistance.
"Let me help you, all right? Don't rush. Finish your sixth and seventh years first."
Hobert rattled off a whole string of remarks, and Will could hear the anxiety and unease in his voice.
Will's expression remained calm. "Don't worry, Uncle Hobert. I'm not thinking about any of that. And I haven't gotten anyone pregnant, either. I just have something very important that I need the family's help with."
"Whatever you want to do is fine, Will," Hobert said, his attention drifting from his driving. "Just let me help you."
"Uncle Hobert, this requires the power of the Howard family." Will shook his head. "I'll need access to some resources."
In truth, he would need a staggering amount of resources.
"I can get hold of some resources." Hobert pulled over by the roadside, completely unconcerned by the traffic
