Hobert sighed at Will's earnest expression. "Why do this, Will?"

"Which part do you mean?"

"Why do it this way?"

"Simple. If I didn't show them my strength, I couldn't achieve what I wanted.

"Uncle Hobert, if you hadn't been there, I would've used the Imperius Curse on the entire Howard family. But then it would've been hard to get them to use their abilities to help me."

"Will, you never told me you were capable of this." Hobert shook his head. "You've really surprised me."

"I'm your uncle, Will. You had to hide it even from me?" Hobert treated him just as he always had. What had happened tonight hadn't driven a wedge between them.

"Lina?" Will had no idea who that was. Hobert kept in touch with eleven women at once.

Once, Will had heard him rattling off names: Sienna, Lenora, Juliet, Eugenie...

Will hadn't known what he was doing. Then, that evening, Hobert had introduced him to woman after woman in a private room at a restaurant.
