Time flew amid the scratching of quill on parchment. For the past few days, Will had been preparing his grand gift of "Origin Spells" for Scrimgeour.
One afternoon, Will was hunched over his spacious desk, his quill making soft scratching sounds against the parchment.
"Knock, knock." Someone was at the door.
Will stopped his quill. Wait, no one should be coming to see me at this hour. All the plans are more or less in place. There shouldn't be any surprises.
As he rose, all the parchment containing the Origin Spells flew into the desk on its own, and several books on potions appeared on the desktop.
Then Will walked into the sitting room, and the door opened automatically.
Lucius Malfoy entered first, his long platinum-blond hair immaculately groomed.
His robes were black and his walking stick straight, lending him an air of distinction. Following him was the head of the Parkinson family, Wander Parkinson, carrying a small suitcase.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Behrens," Lucius said. "I hope we haven't disturbed your rest."
"Not at all, Mr. Malfoy." Will smiled amiably and gestured for them to sit. "Please, take a seat."
Lucius nodded slightly, then turned to introduce him to Wander Parkinson. "Wander, this is Mr. Will Behrens. I imagine you've already heard his name."
Wander Parkinson hurried forward a step, his posture actually somewhat stooped and his face wreathed in smiles.
He bowed slightly, his tone respectful. "Good afternoon, Mr. Behrens. Please forgive me for calling unannounced."
Will waved a hand. "You're too kind, Mr. Parkinson. Please, sit down."
As they spoke, the teapot had already begun pouring tea for the three of them on its own.
"What brings the two of you here?" Will asked bluntly. In truth, he was thinking, *If you have nothing to say, hurry up
