At the Ministry of Magic, Scrimgeour climbed out of the fireplace in the Minister's Office.

The attack on the Ministry had reminded him just how important the Floo Powder network was, so after becoming Minister, he had arranged for an additional Floo Network.

Now, apart from the Ministry atrium, which was still being rebuilt, and the Department of Magical Transportation, every department head's office had been connected to the new Floo Network.

Despite his exhaustion, Scrimgeour first pulled out a sheet of parchment and bent over his desk to write.

A quarter of an hour later, Scrimgeour lay slumped over his desk with his eyes closed. He looked less like the Minister for Magic than an office drone who had worked through the night, his quill still beside his hand.

Setting down his quill, Will cast a Clear-Headed Charm, then carefully checked the several densely covered sheets of parchment. This was the "Origin Spells textbook" he was preparing for Scrimgeour.

Will took this very seriously. There was a great deal at stake, after all, and spreading the Origin Spells system would be a long-term undertaking.
