Sirius continued explaining to Will in a low voice. "They're also teaching Charms today. They're here to keep an eye on the Full Moon Room tonight, too."

"Black Dog, you brought a friend?" Tonks's pink hair stood out the moment she entered. "Wait, is this the person Dumbledore told us to protect?"

She greeted Sirius, then turned her curious gaze on Will.

"I'll say it again: stop calling me Black Dog." Black patted Will on the back. "As for him, he's not the person Dumbledore wants you to protect, but he is another friend of Lupin's. You'll find out who he is tonight."

Will was puzzled. Someone to protect? Who was Dumbledore trying to protect?

"So mysterious." Tonks smiled openly. "Has Lupin started his lesson?"

"Not yet. He was just about to start, so you two should leave him alone." Sirius pointed at Lupin and the werewolves, who were heading into another room with a sign above it that read "Classroom."

"I'm going to sit in on Lupin's lesson and learn how he teaches so well." Tonks paid no attention to Sirius and skipped toward the classroom.

"Careful, Nymphadora—" Kingsley warned, but before he could finish, Tonks knocked a porcelain cup off a table.

Just as the cup was about to hit the floor, a spell struck it. It stopped falling and floated back onto the table.

"Thank you, unnamed friend. And..." Tonks glanced at Kingsley. "Don't call me 'Nymphadora'!"

"Okay, okay, Tonks. Happy now?" Kingsley sounded rather helpless. "You're always so clumsy."

Tonks seemed unconcerned and slipped into the classroom.

"What about you, Kingsley?" Sirius looked at him.

Kingsley plopped down on the sofa.
