Will left the Headmaster's Office with Snape. All the way down the corridor, Snape's expression remained dark.
At the end of the corridor, Will was about to head toward the Room of Requirement when Snape laid a hand on his shoulder. "It seems Grand Wizard Behrens doesn't much care to spend time with me.
"Perhaps you've performed so much Potion Transfiguration that you've gone too far down the path of Potions to have any regard for your professor?
"You won't even walk a little way with him."
With that accusation dropped on his head, Will could only sigh. "Professor, I've never thought that."
"How long has it been since you came to sit in my office?" Snape asked, displeasure in his voice. "Won't you stop by today?"
Will wanted to point out that the term had only been underway for a week. Besides, Snape had been busy preparing lessons for Defence Against the Dark Arts every day.
But one look at Snape's face made Will nod. "Of course. I was planning to come and spend some time with you today."
Judging by Snape's expression, he clearly didn't believe him.
Fifteen minutes later, they sat down in Snape's office. It had changed considerably.
There were still plenty of Potions and ingredients, but Will could see that the office now held far more Dark Magic artifacts and books.
Parchment lay on the desk. Will glanced at it; it seemed to be Snape's teaching plan or lesson notes.
He didn't get a clear look before Snape tucked the Parchment beneath the desk.
Snape sat beside his desk, his expression unchanged. "Mr. Behrens, tell me what you're thinking.
"You intend to hand the position of Head Boy to one of those foolish Gryffindors?
"Are you afraid Granger alone won't bring Gryffindor enough attention?
"Or
