You are a Horcrux
Harry looked straight at Dumbledore: "There will be a battle later. I'll be facing Voldemort, right?"
"Why would you think that, Harry?" Dumbledore asked.
"Everyone says I'm Voldemort's destined rival," Harry wiped the cream from his mouth. "Mr. Ollivander has been saying that ever since I first went to Diagon Alley."
Later, even in the Wizarding World, people were still talking about these things.
Moreover, at that time, Voldemort captured Will and me, and then resurrected Voldemort using my blood.
I later did some research, and I learned that Wizard's blood is a special material in the Wizarding World...
Harry paused, his expression serious. "Professor, I am not afraid to fight Voldemort. You can tell me anything. If necessary, I am ready to face him and protect the Wizarding World!"
Dumbledore looked at Harry, but remained silent—he really didn't know what to say. Harry had a passionate heart and wasn't afraid of Voldemort at all, so he wasn't afraid of death either.
Dumbledore admitted that he had misjudged Harry.
Harry added, "Professor, you don't need to stay silent. If there's anything you need me to do, you can just tell me."
I'm also in the Wizarding World, and I know I can't stay out of it. I don't want to stay trapped in the mystery any longer.
Dumbledore stared at Harry for a long time, and after a while, he sighed, "Well, Harry, I can tell you."
But you need to understand one thing: some things, once you know them, may not be of any benefit to you.
"Mr. Strange said the exact same thing," Harry said.
"He's a sensible man," Dumbledore, shaking his head with a smile. "Then I'll tell you everything today."
Harry immediately focused his attention.
Dumbledore's smile vanished, and he said seriously, "Do you know why Voldemort couldn't kill you?"
Harry shook his head.
Harry, do you know about ' Love Magic '?
Harry shook his head again.
"You survived thanks to the ' Love Magic,' a gift left to you by your mother..."
Dumbledore told the whole story.
A few minutes later, Harry sat there in a daze, his eyes red-rimmed—he realized that he had survived entirely because of his mother.
He also knew that the Love Magic was only effective if he stayed with his blood relatives, and Harry then understood why he had to stay with the Dursley family.
Dumbledore picked up the cake and gently placed a napkin beside Harry. He didn't disturb Harry, giving Harry the time he needed to calm down.
Fifteen minutes later, Harry, clutching a tissue, said with a slightly stuffy nose, "Professor, but I don't understand."
If my mother defeated Voldemort, then what use am I now? Why would Voldemort still seek me out and want to kill me?
"Tom is a very proud man," Dumbledore shook his head, "But at the same time, he is also very foolish; he doesn't know that he was defeated by your mother's Magic."
He wanted to kill you because he thought you had defeated him.
"So what should I do? Learn my mother's Magic?" Harry felt as if he had found a way to defeat Voldemort.
Dumbledore shook his head. "No, Harry, your childhood memories will only happen once; they cannot be replicated."
"Then what use am I?"
Dumbledore said something that puzzled Harry: "Tom is pursuing immortality."
"What does this have to do with me? Besides, he failed to get the Philosopher's Stone."
"Of course that concerns you, Harry. The Philosopher's Stone isn't the most important thing," Dumbledore shook his head. "He created the Horcrux."
"Excuse me, Professor," Harry, somewhat puzzled, "What is Horcrux?"
This was the first time Harry had ever heard of this.
This is not surprising; during his Second Year, the Diary was never shown to Harry.
Harry had never seen any of the Horcrux —except when he looked in the mirror.
Dumbledore sighed deeply, "Yes, Horcrux. He splits his own soul and hides it in a specific object."
Even if his body is destroyed, the soul hidden in the object can pull him back; we call that Horcrux.
"As long as the Horcrux are destroyed, Tom will never die."
Harry gasped – no wonder Voldemort hadn't been defeated; there was something so bizarre about him.
Then Dumbledore turned around and looked at him, his blue eyes showing no sign of evasion:
"On that night in 1981, Voldemort went to kill you, the Prophecy child, but his Killing Curse did not kill you; Lily's sacrifice protected you."
The Killing Curse struck you, but rebounded, destroying his body. In that instant, his soul was in its most unstable and fragmented state, and a piece of his soul detached from him.
Dumbledore took a step closer to Harry, his blue eyes flashing with a light that made Harry feel a little suffocated:
"It could be due to an accident, or it could be due to the mutation caused by Tom's soul splitting multiple times."
The spirit found the only living being in the room, and then attached itself to it.
Fawkes flew over and landed on Dumbledore's shoulder, tilting his head to look at Harry's face.
"So..." Harry felt a wave of dizziness, his lips trembling.
Dumbledore said sadly, "You are Horcrux he accidentally created, Harry."
