"Hermione, let's watch tomorrow's Quidditch Match from the stands!"
On Friday evening in the Great Hall at Hogwarts, Jerry glanced at Malfoy, who was staring at Harry nearby, and spoke.
"Jerry, are you okay? Why do you suddenly want to go to the stands?"
"I'm fine. I'll go with you tomorrow! Hogwarts hardly ever has an event for everyone!"
Tomorrow wasn't just Slytherin versus Gryffindor. It was Malfoy versus Harry Potter. Jerry had even seen Snape pull Malfoy aside for a private talk yesterday!
At eleven the next morning, the air was hot and humid, with faint thunder rumbling in the distance. The entire school headed for the Quidditch Pitch.
Two people at Hogwarts were acting unusually today. One was Old Bat Snape, who had arrived at the Quidditch Pitch early.
The other was Jerry. Not only had he come to the stands himself, he even had Binoculars hanging around his neck. Anyone who didn't know better would have taken him for a die-hard Quidditch fan!
"Jerry, over here!"
Neville called out when he saw them. He had saved seats for Jerry and Hermione.
"Jerry, don't you usually skip Quidditch Matches? What's different today? You even brought Binoculars!" Neville asked, puzzled.
Hermione found it strange too. Jerry was acting so unlike himself today!
"The players are coming out!" Jerry smiled and pointed toward the pitch, changing the subject.
The two teams entered one after the other, but the cheers they received were worlds apart. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw both wanted Gryffindor to win, so Slytherin was lucky not to be booed!
Before long, Madam Hooch, the Quidditch instructor, arrived and asked the captains to shake hands. Then a whistle blew, and the match began!
Once the players were airborne, Malfoy ignored everyone else and flew straight to Harry.
