September 1 arrived, and the long summer holiday quietly drew to a close, ushering in the new school year. Jerry got up early, yawned, and walked over to the window. Pulling back the curtains, he gazed at the gray sky outside and muttered, "This damned weather!"
After quickly washing up, Jerry put on a trench coat, packed his luggage, and Apparated to Hermione's front door. He knocked lightly. A moment later, light footsteps sounded behind the door, and Hermione appeared with a smile, quickly pulling him into the warmth of the house.
They walked into the kitchen together, greeted by a cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was already laid out on the table, where Mr. Granger sat with a newspaper held firmly in his hands, reading intently. Hearing the movement at the door, he raised his head slightly, gave Jerry a quick glance, then went back to his paper without acknowledging him. Jerry's visits had long since stopped surprising him.
"Jerry, come and sit down. We were just waiting for you!" Mrs. Granger greeted him warmly. "After breakfast, we'll take you and Hermione to the station."
Jerry thanked Mrs. Granger, then sat down at the table and began eating breakfast.
"Are you two planning to come home for Christmas?" Mr. Granger suddenly broke the silence. Although the question was addressed to both of them, his gaze stayed firmly fixed on Jerry. He had figured it out: if that little rascal Jerry Green stayed at school, Hermione would probably stay at Hogwarts too!
"This year?" Jerry paused, then gave an awkward smile, his eyes shifting evasively.
