At the first light of dawn the next day, Jerry woke from sleep. He touched the bedding beside him; it was still warm.
"Jerry, if you're awake, get up! Mrs. Weasley's calling for us!" Hermione pushed open the door and tossed the clothes Jerry was to wear that day onto the bed.
By early morning, the whole house was in chaos.
After getting ready, Jerry and Hermione went downstairs. Fred and George had enchanted their trunks to fly to a designated spot, but something had gone wrong with the spell. The trunks hurtled straight toward Ginny.
"Ginny, get out of the way!" Mrs. Weasley screamed.
Snap! Amid the chaos, a sharp snap of fingers brought the twins' heavy trunks to a dead stop less than two inches from Ginny's nose.
"Thank goodness. Jerry, thank you so much!" Mrs. Weasley said gratefully. Then she seized Fred and George by an ear each and marched them toward Ginny.
"Impressive Wandless Magic!" Moody turned his head, his blue magical eye fixed on Jerry. "I've seen plenty of wizards your age, and older ones too. Most haven't even mastered Nonverbal Spells, let alone Wandless Magic. You're the only one I've met who has!"
"Jerry learned the Patronus Charm in his first year!" Hermione said proudly.

"That is impressive," Moody agreed. His gaze shifted to the small trunk by Jerry's feet. "But... can that trunk really hold both your luggage?"
