The Dawn Princess had never imagined that the first civilization whose extinction she recorded after becoming a cosmic civilization observer would be her own home.
Roughly 1,300 light-years from the Solar System lay Brilliant Star, a planet with a surface area 3,600 times that of Earth. It was inhabited by unusual life-forms called Giants of Light, who averaged forty meters in height and forty thousand tons in weight.
Having undergone superevolution from light particles, the Giants of Light were pure of heart and possessed exceptionally high moral standards. They did not need to eat, either. All they had to do to replenish their energy was go outside and bask in the sun.
The Dawn Princess was one of the Giants of Light.
Unlike most of her companions, who devoted themselves to maintaining peace throughout the universe and protecting weaker civilizations from monster invasions.
The Dawn Princess had never cared for fighting. She only loved studying the universe's many different civilizations.
To that end, she chose to become a cosmic civilization observer and discovered two forms of multiverse.
The spatial multiverse consisted of countless single universes stitched together, while the spacetime multiverse was the collection of a single universe across countless parallel timelines.
From this, the Dawn Princess concluded that more than one multiverse existed.
Of course, traveling between multiverses required tremendous energy. To test her hypothesis, the Dawn Princess decided to take advantage of her coming-of-age celebration, when all the Giants of Light would gather, and ask everyone to send her to another multiverse.
Yet when that day arrived, the Brilliant King, who had never missed her birthday, was late.
"Why isn't Dad here yet?"
Just as the Dawn Princess grew impatient with waiting, a monster hurled her father, the king of the Brilliant Kingdom, down like a piece of
