When Uchiha Yi arrived at Uchiha Heitai's home, Heitai showed no surprise. He merely opened his Three-Tomoe Sharingan and stared at Yi. "You're a little later than I expected."
"Yes. I didn't expect you to give your Sharingan to Uchiha Fugaku." Yi sensed that the Sharingan's aura differed slightly from Heitai's own and could not help thinking how far a parent would go for his child.
Heitai had given up his eyes for his son. Still, Yi had never expected that old bastard to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. He knew for certain that Heitai had not awakened it in the early days of the Second Shinobi World War.
Yi had seen that for himself and sensed it firsthand.
Heitai's eyes flickered. After a long silence, he sighed. "Why must you push us so hard?
"We pose no threat to you."
"The Uchiha need to change. I need an Uchiha Clan that listens to me, not one that constantly opposes me.
"In the hands of you and your son, the Uchiha will only head toward ruin. I'm the only one who can save them." Yi had no fondness for Fugaku. He was the man who had brought the Uchiha to ruin.
You can't sacrifice the entire Uchiha Clan for your son!
"You think you're saving the Uchiha? Perhaps you're right." Heitai looked dazed. From the perspective of the whole clan, Yi's actions were indeed right.
But they did not serve the interests of Heitai and his son. Heitai wanted the Uchiha to grow strong under their leadership.
If they were not the ones leading the clan, what did its fate have to do with them?
Whether it flourishes or falls, what does that have to do with me?
"Uchiha Fugaku isn't in the village. It seems he's already left." Yi sighed
