"Yes, he's earned the Slug Sage's approval." Tsunade nodded slightly. "He can enter Sage Mode reliably now, and he can use Senjutsu Chakra in his Ninjutsu. I think you understand what that means."
Jiraiya's expression shifted again and again. How could he not understand what Tsunade meant?
It was something he could only dream of achieving. Then Jiraiya seemed to think of something. He looked at Tsunade hopefully, searching for a loophole in their bet. "Did he use some trick with the Slug Sage's help to enter Sage Mode?"
"You can cheat your way into Sage Mode?" Before Tsunade could answer, Orochimaru grew curious too. If that was possible, he would have to learn how.
"How could he? Do you really think that Uchiha Yi would need to take shortcuts?
"That kid is smart, and he's proud. If he'd cheated his way into Sage Mode, do you think he would've had the Slug Sage tell me?" Tsunade sneered. She glanced at Jiraiya with open disdain. "Sounds like there's a way to take shortcuts with Mount Myōboku's Sage Mode, though.
"And yet someone still can't learn Sage Mode, even with a shortcut. How embarrassing!
"I used to think you just weren't good enough to learn Sage Mode. But Uchiha Yi mastered it in less than half a year."
Tsunade felt a little guilty about that last remark. Jiraiya wasn't the only one who hadn't learned Sage Mode. She hadn't learned it either.
If she could have learned Sage Mode, she wouldn't have researched the Yin Seal and gone on to use the Strength of a Hundred Technique.
That didn't stop her from mocking Jiraiya. Her disciple had learned Sage Mode, while Jiraiya hadn't. He couldn't even measure up to her disciple. How embarrassing!
As for whether Tsunade was upset that Uchiha
