With Tsunade's return, the Konoha ninjas in the Land of Rain and those stationed elsewhere began rotating back to the village to rest. Returning villagers could be seen everywhere on the streets.
That day, Kagami Uchiha handed all administrative duties over to Shikata Nara. He had just left the Hokage Building and was planning to relax, then pay Tsunade a visit.
Along the way, he suddenly spotted a conspicuous white-haired figure ahead. With hair that distinctive, who else could it be but Hatake Sakumo? A black-haired girl stood beside him.
The boy hadn't returned to the village in ages, and visiting his teacher wasn't even the first thing he did after coming back?
At that thought, Kagami Uchiha immediately called out, "Sakumo!"
Hatake Sakumo turned at the sound of his voice. Seeing his teacher, he instantly looked embarrassed. The girl beside him was Uchiha Yukiho. The two were dating, and being caught off guard by his teacher left Sakumo rather flustered.
"T-teacher!" Hatake Sakumo stammered.
Uchiha Yukiho, by contrast, remained perfectly composed. With a gentle expression, she greeted him softly. "Hello, Lord Hokage!"
Seeing his student's awkwardness, Kagami Uchiha felt the urge to tease him. "Ah... my student's all grown up. He comes back to the village and doesn't even think to visit his lonely old teacher..."
"That's not it, teacher... I was just about to visit you. I thought you might be busy right now, and I happened to run into Yukiho on the street, so..." Sakumo immediately waved his hands in a panic, hastily explaining himself.
"Hahaha, all right, I'll stop teasing you!" Kagami Uchiha waved a hand and spoke lightly.
Then he looked at the girl beside Hatake Sakumo, his expression uncertain. "Young lady, you're Elder Yo's granddaughter, if I remember correctly?"
