The acupuncture technique was not complicated, and Ye Chuqi had already set up the formation.
The troublesome part was that it needed to draw on the Spiritual Power within Ye Chuqi's body, shaping it into spiritual needles that would stimulate old Mr. Barnard's acupoints in place of Silver Needles. With the formation's help, he would absorb the Spirit Spring at its lowest concentration bit by bit. Spiritual Power would then guide the formation as it was etched into his body, temporarily taking the place of his life force and fooling Death God's scythe so he could go on "living."
Ye Chuqi began meditating in the space. In this form, she absorbed Spiritual Energy a little faster, which helped both her cultivation and her recovery. San San had also wrapped the fallen Nine-Leaf Green Flower in Spiritual Liquid. Without touching the soil, the green flower remained at the peak of its bloom, and the Spiritual Liquid kept it giving off its distinctive fragrance. That fragrance nourished Ye Chuqi's Spirit Veins. After breathing it in from time to time these past few days, her injuries had healed by roughly half. Much of her strength had returned, and her confidence had soared along with it.
San San had another bold idea. It had wrapped the Nine-Leaf Green Flower in Spiritual Liquid not just to keep it fresh. It wanted to see whether a long soak would change the flower, or whether its fragrance would seep into the Spiritual Liquid and change that instead. If so, the liquid might prove vital to Ye Chuqi's recovery.
The further Ye Chuqi's recovery progressed, the harder it would become. Repairing her meridians required a great deal of Spiritual Power. Even if she spent all day in the space, it would take a long time.
