Ye Chuqi was once a frail modern-day homebody. After transmigrating to a cultivation world, she spent roughly fourteen years on Lush Mountain, training as a sword cultivator under her eldest senior brother. Demonic cultivators pursued her during her first Secret Realm expedition; a damaged formation then sent her into another world 1 17 45.

She arrived injured in the Ashen Wasteland, unable to use her usual spiritual energy. San San, the spirit of her Portable Space, had exhausted the space’s energy protecting her during the crossing. Ye Chuqi sheltered in a cave for over a month before investigating a nearby battle site, where she found and treated the gravely wounded Red Beard 1 3.

Red Beard and his companions helped her leave the wasteland and learn their language. She later received a rare Red Wind Honor Medal in recognition of her help, though Xiya’s earlier offer that she join the group provisionally had been left for Ye Chuqi to consider 9 17 26.

Ye Chuqi does not know this body’s origins: her eldest senior brother found her as a baby at the foot of Lush Mountain.
