Ye Chuqi could face every farewell calmly because she knew they could meet again. Why did she have to keep everyone by her side just to prove how much she cared? Everyone had their own path to follow. Even Xiaojiu and Joshua were working toward their futures.
Her friends looked even more dejected when they heard her say that. Of course they had understood all along. They just hadn't expected the parting to come so soon, much less for Ye Chuqi to bring it forward herself. It hurt.
Ye Chuqi went on, "Look at your faces. You'd think we'd never see each other again. If I graduate early, can't I come visit? Can't I ask you for help with a job? Are we never going to get together again?"
Everyone: Well, no.
They understood all that. It still hurt.
Cyril muttered, "Who'll be helping whom is another question..." With Ye Chuqi's strength, why would she need their help? She had always been the one helping them. Without her, they could never have earned credits so easily while still having time to train and earn more resources.
Ye Chuqi put a hand on Cyril's shoulder. "You're doing pretty well for yourself now! I hear you've got more orders than you can handle. Does Ivan have to help you count the money?"
Cyril had burst onto the scene during the battle at Monte City. He had made a name for himself not only at Imperial Capital Academy, but among adventurers and Mercenary Corps outside it as well. Even though he belonged to the academy, quite a few Mercenary Corps had offered him a place.
Strangely enough, one suggestion from Ye Chuqi had set Cyril on an entirely different path. Stranger still, the potions he made weren't new. Others had made similar things
