Ambrose raised an eyebrow at Ye Chuqi. "So you want to start with me, Miss Ye?" At the very least, they needed to know how far this demonic qi's effects on the human body went. Whether Ye Chuqi could truly resolve the problem, and whether her solution could be widely adopted, were also matters Ambrose wanted answers to.
Looking further ahead, they also needed to consider how to eliminate this hidden threat, and whether such mutations were widespread or isolated cases.
Ambrose felt his headache worsening.
"Does your head hurt, Lord Ambrose?"
"Hmm?"
"Your injury is on your head, Lord Ambrose. If this demonic qi has invaded your body, its most direct target would be your brain. That's why your head hurts."
Ambrose often had headaches over matters on the front lines, so he had never tried to distinguish what caused any particular headache.
Ye Chuqi gave Jelous a look. There was no one else in the tent to begin with, and Jelous went straight to the entrance to stand guard, preventing anyone from barging in at this moment.
"Please sit for a moment, Lord Ambrose." She needed to take his pulse and examine his meridians in detail. Judging by his appearance, the demonic qi probably had not affected him much. Only a faint trace flickered around his wound, but she did not know whether any remained in his meridians. "After you were injured, did you have a priest from the Light God Temple help cleanse your body?"
